The Pokémon Company International has revealed that puzzler Pokémon Picross will see release on the Nintendo eShop next week.

The free-to-start Nintendo 3DS exclusive challenges players to turn puzzles into portraits of their favourite Pokémon, with more than 300 to complete alongside a more advanced mode.

Completing puzzles adds that Pokémon to your collection, which in turn can help you solve puzzles with their skills – Eevee’s Rising Reveal displaying squares vertically, Lucario’s Hyper Scan fixing incorrect squares, and Squirtle’s Blue Force changing hin number colours to blue on rows with squares that still need filling in.

Mega-Evolved Pokémon will also appear, with rare stones known as Picrites being required to unlock new areas or recover skills and are earned by clearing puzzles. Players can also choose to purchase them with real-world money in the Nintendo eShop.

Pokémon Picross will release exclusively for Nintendo 3DS in Europe and North America on December 3rd.
