Pokémon Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire’s Great Eon Ticket Relay travels the UK

The Great Eon Ticket Relay has now reached every region across the United Kingdom, after Pokémon Omega Ruby and Pokémon Alpha Sapphire producer Junichi Masuda made an appearance at GAME Stratford to launch the StreetPass distribution event.

Switching on a Nintendo 3DS XL loaded with Pokémon Omega Ruby has resulted in the first Eon Ticket having sparked a nationwide journey, where, between 29th November 2014 – 30th January 2015, it has travelled the country to arrive in more than 100 towns and cities.

The virtual item is required to encounter and catch either Latias or Latios on Southern Island, with social media activity showing that it has had the potential to reach over 14 million people.

“It’s astounding to think that the data from one Pokémon game in Stratford has travelled the length and breadth of the country, spreading the Eon Ticket from the Highlands to Cornwall, from County Antrim to Kent,” comments The Pokémon Company International’s marketing director Anthony Cornish. “We’re enormously grateful to everyone who took part in the Great #EonTicketUK Relay and hope those who have the Eon Ticket will carry on passing the ticket to others.”
