Game Freak’s Junichi Masuda visited GAME Stratford over the weekend, attending a special launch event for Pokémon Omega Ruby and Pokémon Alpha Sapphire.
Aside from celebrating the joint Nintendo 3DS exclusive’s arrival, he also took the opportunity to launch the Great Eon Ticket Relay across the UK – The Pokémon Company International enlisting the help of 15 lucky competition winners to transport it across the country.
The in-game item allows players to revisit Southern Island in either game, on which they will have the chance to catch one of the Legendary Eon Pokémon – Latios or Latias – dependent on their chosen version.
This ticket can only be received through StreetPass from someone that already has it, and has already journeyed to GAME stores in Birmingham, Bristol, Cambridge, Cardiff, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Leeds, Liverpool, Manchester, Newcastle, Nottingham, Plymouth, Sheffield and Southampton.
It will be down to players to help spread it far and wide, with The Pokémon Company International encouraging those that are successful to share that they have it by tweeting with the hashtag: #EonTicketUK
Pokémon Omega Ruby and Pokémon Alpha Sapphire are now available worldwide, exclusively for Nintendo 3DS.
