Pokémon Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire prepare for Generation Showdown

The Pokémon Company International have shared details about the Generation Showdown Online Competition, which will shortly once again pit Pokémon Omega Ruby and Pokémon Alpha Sapphire players against one another.

As Serebii reports the Double Battle event will allow you to use “virtually every known Pokémon,” with those over Level 50 being set to it for the match’s duration. Team’s can have up to two special Pokémon, whether that be Legendary or Mythical Pokémon, and can use any Pokémon from the National Pokédex – the only exclusions being Mew, Celebi, Jirachi, Deoxys, Phione, Manaphy, Darkrai, Shaymin, Arceus, Victini, Keldeo, Meloetta, Genesect and Diancie.

Registration will open on Thursday 5th February 2015, with competitors being required to have a Pokémon Trainer Club account and their own copy of the Pokémon Omega Ruby or Pokémon Alpha Sapphire with a party of eligible Pokémon.
