Pokémon + Nobunaga’s Ambition receives release date

23n51

The latest issue of Japanese magazine Shonen Jump has confirmed that Pokémon + Nobunaga’s Ambition will release across Japan on March 17th, priced at 5,800 Yen.

The Pokémon Company and Tecmo Koei announced the Nintendo DS bound crossover, between the Pokémon and Nobunaga’s Ambition franchises, at Jump Festa in December.

You’ll choose between a male or female general, or “Busho” in Japanese, as your main character, who has strong ties with Pokémon. Regardless of gender, you’ll begin your latest adventure with Eevie as you partner Pokémon.

You are tasked with travelling across the game world, divided into seventeen kingdoms, as you defeat rival generals to unite the land. The strategy battle system will see six allied units face off against six enemy units, all of which are Pokémon that have skills based upon their type. You’ll be able to utilise “Busho Powers”, such as being able to heal your Pokémon. Whilst not in battle, you’ll need to build up your army by “linking” with Wild Pokémon. You’re also able to recruit new generals for your army.

There’s still no word on a European or North American release.
