After you have beaten the Elite Four and become Champion, one of the ways that you can spend your time with the Pokémon Let’s Go, Pikachu! and Pokémon Let’s Go, Eevee! postgame is to hunt for Shiny Pokémon.

That hunt is also far more enjoyable in the Nintendo Switch exclusives, thanks to the fact that random encounters have been removed. It means that you can immediately see when a Shiny Pokémon spawns to then rush to catch it. Making it even easier, there are ways that you can improve how often Shiny Pokémon will appear.

You should first look to complete the Pokédex so that you can receive the Shiny Charm from the Game Director in Celadon City. This will improve your chances, reducing the odds of a Shiny Pokémon appearing from 1 in 4,096 to 1 in 1,365.

And then, beyond this, you can use Lures and the Catch Combo mechanic to continue to boost your odds, meaning that, compared to other mainline games, it shouldn’t take too long before you encounter a Shiny Pokémon.
