Silicon Studio has announced that YEBIS 3 was used in Pokémon Let’s Go, Pikachu! and Pokémon Let’s Go, Eevee!’s development on Nintendo Switch.

The advanced optical effects middleware product has been used to help create games like Dark Souls III, MotoGP 15, Dragon Ball Xenoverse, Bloodborne, Fighter Within and Dynasty Warriors 7.

The Japanese developer’s name will be familiar to those that have played Bravely Default: Flying Fairy or Bravely Second End Layer on Nintendo 3DS, and, in looking to strengthen their relationship with Nintendo, has seen them support Nintendo Switch’s development environment with YEBIS 3, their all-in-one game engine OROCHI, and Xenko, their next-generation game engine.

Pokémon Let’s Go, Pikachu! and Pokémon Let’s Go, Eevee! are now available exclusively for Nintendo Switch worldwide.
