The Pokémon Company International has revealed Pokémon Legends Z-A Nintendo Switch 2 Edition, promising to deliver “enhanced resolution and frame rates.”
Set in Lumiose City where an urban redevelopment plan is underway to shape the city into a place where humans and Pokémon can co-exist, you will have the chance to befriend either Chikorita, Tepig or Totodile who will become your first partner Pokémon.
It has been explained that the Nintendo Switch 2 Edition of a game is a bundle that includes the original game and its upgrade pack, which “enhances the game to take advantage of the capabilities of the Nintendo Switch 2 system.”
If you own the original Nintendo Switch game – either as a physical or digital version – you can upgrade to the Nintendo Switch 2 Edition by purchasing the game’s upgrade pack digitally from the Nintendo eShop, My Nintendo Store or at retailers.
The company has outlined the specific Nintendo Switch 2 Edition upgrades, which include:
- Improved performance with higher frame rate and resolution
Pokémon Legends Z-A Nintendo Switch 2 Edition will be released at retail and digitally on the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Switch 2 worldwide in late 2025.
