Pokémon Legends: Arceus Leaks Are In The Wild

Warning! Pokémon Legends: Arceus leaks are starting to surface online, more than a week before the game’s official release date.

With retailers starting to receive their pre-launch stock, users that have somehow managed to obtain their copies early have been posting photos, screenshots and gameplay clips across every social media website imaginable.

The Pokémon Company is naturally protective about its major releases, often taking swift action to remove the leaked material. The most prominent example was when it had identified that a writer from the Portuguese website FNintendo was responsible for pre-launch leaks related to Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield.

That writer had shared off-screen photos which had revealed unannounced Pokémon and Gigantamax forms. FNintendo admitted that their writer had been the culprit behind the leaks, with Nintendo stating that they would no longer provide them with products. The website has since been shut down.

There was also legal action taken in the United States, where the identities of Discord and 4Chan users behind further Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield leaks were subpoenaed. Each went on to be fined $150,000 for their actions.

Game Freak has looked to “deliver an experience infused with new action and RPG elements that go beyond the framework established thus far, while honouring the core gameplay of past Pokémon titles.”

As part of the Galaxy Expedition Team, you will set out on an adventure through the Hisui region – the land that eventually came to be known as the Sinnoh region. With the bustling Jubilife Village serving as your base of operations, you will leave the settlement to complete assignments and requests that will challenge you to study areas of the Hisui region.

Your first stop will be one of the base camps that will serve as an outpost for your work, and a place where you can rest during an excursion to let your Pokémon recover their health or craft items using the base camp’s workbench.

As you work towards completing the Hisui region’s first Pokédex, your rank as a member of the Galaxy Team will increase and you will have the chance to meet interesting characters and unique Pokémon that call the region home.

Pokémon Legends: Arceus will release exclusively for Nintendo Switch worldwide on 28th January 2022.
