The Pokémon Company International and Game Freak have revealed early purchase bonuses for Pokémon Legends: Arceus.
Those that buy either a physical or digital copy of the game before Monday 9th May 2022 can receive the Hisuian Zoroark-themed Baneful Fox Mask and the Hisuian Growlithe Kimono Set. These can be downloaded by choosing Get via Internet from the Mystery Gifts feature, which you can access after playing the game for approximately two hours.
For those that purchase and download the digital version from the Nintendo eShop before Monday 9th May 2022, you will also receive a code that can be redeemed in-game to receive 30 Heavy Balls. These are a special variety of Poké Ball that is more effective at catching Pokémon that haven’t yet noticed you. Since they’re heavier than regular Poké Balls, they don’t fly very far, so you’ll want to make sure you sneak close to a Pokémon before using one of them.
With Pokémon Legends: Arceus, the developer has looked to “deliver an experience infused with new action and RPG elements that go beyond the framework established thus far, while honouring the core gameplay of past Pokémon titles.”
As part of the Galaxy Expedition Team, you will set out on an adventure through the Hisui region – the land that eventually came to be known as the Sinnoh region. With the bustling Jubilife Village serving as your base of operations, you will leave the settlement to complete assignments and requests that will challenge you to study areas of the Hisui region.
Your first stop will be one of the base camps that will serve as an outpost for your work, and a place where you can rest during an excursion to let your Pokémon recover their health or craft items using the base camp’s workbench.
As you work towards completing the Hisui region’s first Pokédex, your rank as a member of the Galaxy Team will increase and you will have the chance to meet interesting characters and unique Pokémon that call the region home.
Pokémon Legends: Arceus will release exclusively for Nintendo Switch worldwide on 28th January 2022.
