Pokémon Legends Arceus Dusknoir Evolution: How To Evolve Dusclops Into Dusknoir

A screenshot of Dusclops in Pokémon Legends Arceus

The Ghost-type Pokémon Dusclops was introduced in Generation III and make a return appearance in Pokémon Legends: Arceus. You will be able to discover and catch one in a handful of areas in the Hisui region, but as you set out to complete the region’s first-ever Pokédex you will want to know how to evolve the Beckon Pokémon into Dusknoir.

If this helps you, we also have guides on how to evolve Murkrow into Honchkrow as well as how to evolve Togepi into Togetic and Togekiss.

Where To Catch Dusclops

Before you will need to know how to evolve Dusclops into Dusknoir, you may want to know where to catch Dusclops in the wild. It’s worth mentioning straight away that the Beckon Pokémon will fittingly only appear after Nightfall, so make sure that you rest at a base camp to pass the time “until nightfall” if you need to.

The areas that you will want to start hunting for Dusclops are at Deadwood Haunt in Cobalt Coastlands or at Arena’s Approach or Avalanche Slopes in Alabaster Icelands. There are evidently more spawn locations in Alabaster Icelands, but we went for Cobalt Coastlands as it was quicker to fast travel to the Coastlands Camp to search around Deadwood Haunt. There’s also another reason why we chose it, but more on that later.

How To Evolve Dusclops Into Dusknoir

You will need to use a Reaper Cloth to evolve Dusclops into Dusknoir. These can be found as a rare item drop in Space-Time Distortions or, for those with less patience, can be purchased by exchanging Merit Points (MP) with Simona at her stall on Floaro Main Street in Jubilife Village.

The Reaper Cloth will cost you 1,400 MP, and is described as “a cloth imbued with horrifyingly strong spiritual energy. It’s loved by a certain Pokémon.”

Where To Catch Dusknoir

If you aren’t necessarily bothered about evolving Dusclops and simply want to add Dusknoir’s page to your Pokédex, it’s worth us pointing out that you can actually catch the Gripper Pokémon in the wild, too. The pocket monster’s spawn location is listed in the Pokédex as Deadwood Haunt in Cobalt Coastlands, and, once again, it will only appear after nightfall.

What makes the location even more worthwhile is that an Alpha Dusknoir spawns here. If your party is strong enough to face it, we were able to confront and catch the Level 65 pocket monster.

Pokémon Legends: Arceus is now available exclusively at retail and digitally on the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Switch worldwide.
