Pokémon International Championships Head To Australia In March

Now that the Pokémon International Championships Europe have wrapped up, The Pokémon Company has announced that the Pokémon International Championships Oceania will take place between Friday 10th – Sunday 12th March 2017.

The major event will take place at the Melbourne Park Function Centre in Melbourne, Australia, and invites Trainers from around the world to compete in either the Pokémon TCG or video game categories.

Defeating your opponents in intense battles can reward competitors with Championships Points, which will help them to secure a place at the Pokémon World Championships next August.

Pokémon TCG players will compete using the Standard format which will include the Pokémon TCG: Sun & Moon expansion, while video game players will stride into battle with Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon.
