Pokémon GO Update Version 1.7.1 Now Available On iOS

Niantic has released a new software update for Pokémon GO on iOS, which brings the augmented reality app to version 1.7.1.

This is a minor update without any particularly noteworthy additions like the recent Appraisal and Buddy Pokémon features, with the developer noting that it adds “minor fixes for the Pokémon GO Plus.”

Pokémon GO Plus is now widely available worldwide, with the device able to track distance walked for Eggs and Buddy Pokémon while the app runs in the background. Plus will blink yellow if you encounter a Pokémon not registered in your Pokédex, blue when you encounter a PokéStop, and green when you encounter a Pokémon already registered in your Pokédex.
