The Pokémon GO holiday event has started, and, to encourage you to explore your neighbourhood in increasingly chilly weather, Niantic has added Winter, Great, and Ultra Boxes to buy from the in-game shop in their location-based game.
The Winter Box (480 Pokécoins) contains 2 Incense, 2 Egg Incubators, and 5 Star Pieces – an all-new item that will see players earn bonus Stardust for 30 minutes once activated. While the Great Box (780 Pokécoins) will reward players with 4 Super Incubators, 10 Razz Berries, and 10 Star Pieces.
It is the Ultra Box (1,480 Pokécoins) that, unsurprisingly, comes packed with the most gifts, with 8 Super Incubators, 10 Pinap Berries, 25 Star Pieces, and 10 Lure Modules – the Lure Modules alone normally costing you 880 Pokécoins.
From Monday 25th December, Niantic will then change the contents of these special boxes to feature items such as Premium Raid Passes, Super Incubators, and Star Pieces.
Remember that, as part of the holiday event, the first PokéStop that you visit each day between Friday 22nd December – Monday 25th December will provide you with a single-use Egg Incubator as a reward for your first Photo Disc spin that day.
