Pokémon GO Has Surpassed 10 Million Installs On Android Alone

We knew that Pokémon GO has proved to be particularly popular, but it has been hard to tell just how successful it has been in the week since it launched in the United States, Australia and New Zealand.

The server issues are perhaps an early indication as to the number of players trying to use the augmented reality app, but now, thanks to Google Play, we can see that it has been installed more than 10 million times on Android devices alone.

Given that such number doesn’t even factor in the impact it has had on the App Store, it is more understandable now as to why Nintendo’s share price soared by 40 percent to add $7 billion (£5.4 billion) to the company’s market value.

With the app still awaiting an official launch in Europe, Asia and other regions worldwide, that success looks only set to continue.
