Niantic has announced that there will be a livestream from the Pokémon GO Fest this weekend, presented by eSports host Rachel Quirico with appearances from Britanni Johnson, Kelly Link and Brandon Martyn.

The first official dedicated real-world event for Pokémon GO runs between 10am – 7pm CDT at Grant Park in Chicago, Illinois, with Trainers worldwide encouraged to participate in a global challenge that will unlock special rewards worldwide.

There will be three Challenge Windows in which Trainers in Grant Park will attempt to unlock perks for Pokémon GO players around the world by catching certain types of Pokémon. Electric-type Pokémon will reduce the distance required to hatch Eggs, Grass-type Pokémon will increase Stardust bonuses, and other types will unlock other bonuses.

Those not at Pokémon GO Fest in Chicago will be tasked with catching as many Pokémon as possible within the Challenge Windows to extend the duration of the bonuses that are unlocked by those attending the event.

Plus, if Trainers around the world catch enough Pokémon, a mystery challenge will be unveiled in Grant Park that, once completed, will unlock an extra-special bonus across the globe.

Niantic hasn’t provided any timings for the Pokémon GO Fest livestream, but it will more than likely run alongside the day’s activities. Good luck, Trainers!
