Niantic has announced that a Pokémon GO Equinox event will start next week, coming to the location-based game as spring days arrive in the northern hemisphere and autumn approaches in the southern hemisphere.
The event will run from 1pm PDT on Tuesday 19th March until 1pm PDT on Tuesday 26th March 2019, and, while live, will see Grass-type Pokémon such as Oddish, Exeggcute, Sunkern, and Shroomish appear more frequently in the wild.
Lunatone and Solrock will also switch hemispheres while the event is live, you can expect to challenge Grass-type Pokémon in Raids, and limited-time Grass-type Pokémon Field Research will be available while it remains active.
There will also be two new moves that will be permanently added to the game. Arbok, Victreebel, Tenteacruel, Muk, Alolan Muk, Quagsire, Qwilfish, Octillery, and Swalot can learn Acid Spray, while Leaf Tornado can be learned by Victreebel, Shiftry, and Tropius.
Pokémon GO is now available for iOS and Android devices worldwide.
