If you have been finding it harder to catch pocket monsters on your travels in Pokémon GO, then you’ll be pleased to hear that there is a reason for that rather than your Poké Ball aim.

Niantic has confirmed that “a new bug affecting throw accuracy increases the odds of escape and omits the XP bonus” has been discovered, and that the developer is now working hard to deliver a fix to address it.

Earlier this week, Niantic also acknowledged concerns that the Battery Save mode had been removed from the iOS version. This had allowed them to address bugs that had been reported when the mode was activated, and, having now tested a successful fix, it will be returned in a software update “within the next several days.”
