If you are searching for the Move Reminder (or Move Tutor), Move Deleter or Name Rater in Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Pokémon Shining Pearl, then we have you covered.
Whether looking to help rebalance your Pokémon to teach it a new move in return for a Heart Scale or to clear a nickname that you no longer want to call them, these special characters make a recurring appearance throughout the Pokémon series and that’s no different here.

Move Reminder Location In Pokémon Brilliant Diamond And Shining Pearl
The Move Tutor – otherwise known as the Pokémon Move Maniac or Move Reminder – can be found in Pastoria City, located in the house that is northeast from the Poké Mart. He is an important character for those looking to rebalance and tweak their teams, and can teach your Pokémon a move that it has either forgotten or that you decided that it shouldn’t learn as it levelled up.
That means that his role is particularly helpful if there is a move that you now need, or if you are looking to replace one that you had accidentally deleted. However, as with the original Nintendo DS scales, you will need to trade him a Heart Scale to be able to do so.
Move Deleter Location In Pokémon Brilliant Diamond And Shining Pearl
The Move Deleter no longer plays as important a role in Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Pokémon Shining Pearl, as most players used to hunt him down in past games to delete moves that were learned from a Hidden Machine (HM). That’s because such moves could not be forgotten under normal circumstances.
Now that these are accessed from your Pokétch – or Pokémon Watch – he’s probably won’t be in demand as much, but, if you want to delete any Pokémon move, he can be found in the house shortly south from the Pokémon Center in Canalave City.
Name Rater Location In Pokémon Brilliant Diamond And Shining Pearl
If you made a mistake or changed your mind about a Pokémon’s nickname, then you will want to speak to the Name Rater. He can be located in the Eterna Condominiums in Eterna City, which is the building next to the Poké Mart.
He can be found on the Ground Floor – or the First Floor for those in countries that refer to it as that – sat at a table to your left. Remember that you will be unable to change nicknames for Pokémon that were given to you by other people.
Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Pokémon Shining Pearl are now available exclusively for Nintendo Switch worldwide.
