The Pokémon Company International and the National Trust have partnered to launch Pokémon TCG Mega Evolution Trails, inviting families from across England and Wales to step into the great outdoors this May Half Term.
These experiences have adapted National Trust gardens and parklands in “a playful way to build confidence outdoors, enjoy fresh air and create shared family memories while searching for ten Mega Evolution Pokémon across ten trail points.”
Each trail point will have “a simple physical or creative challenge inspired by different Mega Evolution Pokémon,” whether that be showing courage and curiosity with Darkness-type Mega Gengar ex or unleashing energy and imagination inspired by the powerful Fire‑type Mega Charizard Y ex.
With a trail sheet to help young trainers keep track of their discoveries, explorers can celebrate their achievement with a photo opportunity at a Pokémon TCG Mega Evolution backdrop at the end of the trail.
From Saturday 23 May 2026, the Pokémon TCG Mega Evolution Trails will run across England and Wales at 14 National Trust places during May Half Term:

- Belton House, Lincolnshire
- Blickling Estate, Norfolk
- Dyrham Park, South Gloucestershire
- Hughenden, Buckinghamshire
- Kingston Lacy, Dorset
- Lanhydrock, Cornwall
- Quarry Bank, Greater Manchester
- Saltram, Devon
- Sizergh, Cumbria
- Speke Hall, Merseyside
- Tredegar House, Newport
- Wimpole Estate, Cambridgeshire
- Winkworth Arboretum, Surrey
From 13 June 2026, the Pokémon TCG Mega Evolution Trails will also come to Rowallane Garden in County Down.
The Pokémon TCG Mega Evolution Trails are exclusive to the National Trust
and are included with standard National Trust admission (free for NT members).
“The May Half Term Mega Evolution Trails form part of a wider National Trust partnership with Pokémon, marking the first of several playful experiences families will see at National Trust places this year,” The Pokémon Company International explain in a press release.
“Pokémon‑themed Summer of Play activities will arrive at more National Trust places from July, offering even more ways for families to enjoy time together outdoors this summer.”
