The Pokémon Company International and Game Freak have revealed that the Poké Ball Plus can be used with Pokémon Sword or Pokémon Shield.
When the device is synced with the upcoming Nintendo Switch exclusives, you can transfer your favorite Pokémon to the Poké Ball Plus and take them for a walk in the real world.
And, as you stroll around, the Poké Ball Plus will light up and vibrate with the chance that you could even hear the Pokémon’s cry on occasion.
If you have a newly purchased Poké Ball Plus, it will contain Mew. Once you have synced the device to Pokémon Sword or Pokémon Shield, you can receive the Mythical Pokémon in your linked game.
However, unlike with Pokémon: Let’s Go, Pikachu! and Pokémon: Let’s Go, Eevee!, it has been confirmed that the Poké Ball Plus cannot be used as a controller in Pokémon Sword or Pokémon Shield.
Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield will release exclusively for Nintendo Switch worldwide on November 15th.
