Daedalic Entertainment has announced that Deponia is out now on Nintendo Switch, a point-and-click adventure that promises to deliver a hilarious story of adventure and romance.

In a garbage dump world, the good-for-nothing scoundrel Rufus leads a sorry existence as part of the lowest social class.

Doomed to live in literal mountains of trash, he dreams of moving in with the rich who live in a floating city high in the clouds. But then fate smiles upon him one day when an attractive young woman called Goal falls from the land above and into one of his trash heaps.

In a unique universe inspired by the works of Douglas Adams, Terry Pratchett, and Matt Groening, Deponia is packed with point-and-click puzzles, strange characters, and lovingly realized art design – mixing a colorful comic style with hand-drawn HD resolution 2D graphics.

Deponia is now available for Nintendo Switch worldwide, priced at £35.99 ($39.99).
