Pikachu Statue Appears In New Orleans Lower Garden District

Pokémon GO stories take a stranger turn, after a Pikachu statue constructed from fiberglass has appeared in the Lower Garden District in New Orleans.

WWLTV reports that the statue was randomly placed on a disused fountain, which is situated in a small park near the Terpsichore and Prytania intersection.

It is unclear as to who was responsible for the statue’s appearance, and how long it had been there before it was spotted. What’s clearer is that it pays tribute to Niantic’s augmented reality app, and has already seen many continue to chase their Pokédex completion by visiting the statue’s location on their travels.
