Nintendo has announced that its latest mobile game Pictonico! will be released next week.
“Your photos, now a game.” That tagline cleanly summarises the game, in which your photos can be magically turned into random mini games.
Within the reveal trailer, we see photos of someone’s friends turned into WarioWare-esque mini games where they must chomp on food, be unravelled after being wrapped up as a mummy, or even fed a lollipop having been turned into a baby.
“Pictonico! is a free-to-start, fast-paced action game for smart devices that’s all about having fun with your photos. Choose the photos you’d like to see in the game or take new ones, and play minigames featuring your friends and family,” Nintendo explains in a press release.
“Rediscover photos of loved ones and see them in a whole new light as your family and friends navigate everything from zombie attacks, quirky costume changes, carnival challenges, and more. Try a few of the comically chaotic minigames for free, then expand the fun with the additional volumes available for purchase to unlock up to 80 minigames, ranging from easy to tricky.”
Pictonico! will be released digitally through the App Store for iOS devices and Google Play for Android devices on 28 May 2026.
