Nintendo have announced that they are to release a follow-up to Nintendo 3DS downloadable title Picross E, previously launched on the Japanese Nintendo eShop service earlier in the year.

The sequel, titled Picross E2, is developed by Jupiter and will include 150 new puzzles, an improved interface and a new “Micross” mode that sees you presented with a series of 10×10 puzzles. Your target is to clear each of these to unlock an illustation, based upon world famous paintings.

Picross E2 is due to be released on December 28th in Japan, priced at 500 Yen.
