PETA on the attack with Pokémon X & Y parody

We’ve been here before. Having last year created the spoof ‘Pokémon Black & Blue’ seeking to bring the issue of animal cruelty to the fore, People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) have now returned with a successor to coincide with the feverish arrival of Pokémon X and Pokémon Y.

We’re now witness to a ‘Pokémon Red, White & Blue’ parody which serves to highlight the failings of McDonald’s who are “killing Pokémon to feed them to humans,” decrying those that eat meat and pleading everyone to turn vegan.

It’s largely a continuation of their animal cruelty awareness campaign, posing the question that “if Pokémon came to our world and saw how we treated animals, would they love us back?” The fairly gruesome game that accompanies this is predictably startling.

Feel free to check it out, but don’t say that we didn’t warn you.
