This week saw the Microsoft Theatre in Los Angeles, California become the venue for the 42nd People’s Choice Awards, with Glee star Jane Lynch hosting the ceremony.

The awards ceremony, which recognises audience favourites across television, movie and music industries, also has a web culture category. While that covers social media and YouTube stars, it also saw Super Smash Bros. for Wii U & Nintendo 3DS named ‘Favourite Video Game.’

Nintendo’s packed mascot brawler has become a popular addition to both their console and handheld catalogue, and will see Corrin and Bayonetta added as the final downloadable content characters in February.
