Nintendo has announced that you can now link your Nintendo Account to your PayPal account, presenting the chance to use the worldwide online payment system as a convenient way to buy digital games and content – whether on the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Switch or their official website.

This becomes the third payment option that can be used alongside credit cards and Nintendo eShop cards and is a particularly easy process to set up.

Whenever you purchase content, you will see a new PayPal payment option at checkout. The first time that this is selected, users can send an email with details on how to proceed sent to the address registered on their Nintendo Account. Once completed, you will then be able to use your PayPal account as a payment option for any future purchases.

Nintendo points out that users must be 18 or older to link their PayPal account with a Nintendo Account, and that the country setting of the Nintendo Account must match the country setting on their PayPal account.
