Starbreeze Studios and Overkill have announced that Payday 2 on Nintendo Switch will have access to a new playable character as a timed exclusive and a CRIME.NET Local Play mode.

That is Joy, a Japanese computer whiz that wears a custom LED light mask that changes her appearance as she sees fit.

The four-player co-op shooter will see players band together to execute elaborate heists and get paid. As your crew progresses the jobs become bigger, better and more rewarding, using the money that you earn to customise your character with new skill sets and to kit them out with better guns and gear.

Payday 2 will have full touch-screen support to make menu navigation easier than ever, while HD Rumble will let players feel everything from explosions to weapon recoil in their hands. There is also a new local multiplayer mode called CRIME.NET Local Play, that will let you set up a local game and invite friends that share the same local network.

Payday 2 will release in Europe and Australia on February 23rd, and in North America and South America on February 27th.
