Panic Button Not Behind Rumored The Witcher 3 Switch Port

This week, rumors about CD Projekt Red’s The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt coming to Nintendo Switch resurfaced after product listings had started to appear on multiple Asian retailer websites.

That so many had been discovered at the same time seemed to lend credence to the rumor.

This soon resulted in the conversation around whether the port exists or not moving on to suggest that Panic Button were the developer that was hard at work to bring the role-playing game to the portable home console.

However, in looking to quickly halt that discussion, Panic Button has now stepped in to deny that they are involved with the rumored project.

“Why didn’t anyone tell us we were supposed to be porting that? If so, we’re waaaaay behind! (…Seriously though, we are not working on the Witcher 3),” Panic Button wrote in response to the rumor on Reddit.

Panic Button is the team behind porting Warframe, Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus, DOOM, Rocket League, and Hob: Definitive Edition to Nintendo Switch. Their next port – that we know about at this point in time – is Wolfenstein: Youngblood, which will release on July 26th.
