SMG Studio has revealed that OTTTD – or Over The Top Tower Defense – has received a surprise release on Nintendo Switch.
The developer describes this tower defense and real-time strategy crossover with RPG elements (or TDRTSRPG for short) as “Spaceballs meets Starship Troopers,” with an action-packed campaign to conquer.
It’s 2136. You work for Herocorp, the universe’s fourth largest private military force. Tasked with pre-emptively defending Earth from alien dimensions, you must complete missions under budget and make sure everything goes smoothly.
“After the success of Death Squared and Super One More Jump on the Nintendo Switch, we knew we had to bring our first game to this console,” the developer explains.
“OTTTD was our first release as a studio and is still our highest rated game to date. We hope that the Nintendo fans will enjoy blowing up this world as much as we enjoyed making it.”
OTTTD is now available on the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Switch worldwide priced at £5.99 (€6.99/$7.99).
