Open-World Adventure Game Pine Coming To Nintendo Switch On October 10th

Kongregate and Twirlbound have confirmed a release date for Pine on Nintendo Switch, an open-world action-adventure simulation game.

In Pine, you play as Hue, a brave young adult who belongs to the last remaining tribe of humans on the island of Albamare.

With Albamare’s factions trading and fighting one another over food and territory, Hue must learn about ways to influence the ecology in his search for a new home for the humans.

The creatures in this ever-changing world have their own have lives, goals, and quests of their own. With secrets, puzzles, and collectibles to discover, you will use tools and contraptions to help you explore and fight while working out which species to befriend or hinder.

“We cannot wait for people to get their hands on the Pine beta and see how they’ll tackle the simulation-driven quests and many puzzles on the island of Albamare,” explains Twirlbound creative director Matthijs van de Laar.

“After 4 years, the seven of us are excited to finally give it to people and have them explore the intricacies of the world that we built.”

Kongregate chief business officer Josh Larson adds: “Pine is a truly special game that we are proud to get out in front of players. Twirlbound has done an exceptional job executing on such an ambitious and charming design.”

Pine will release on the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Switch worldwide on October 10th priced at $24.99.
