Official Wii U GamePad Battery upgrade headed to Europe

Those tired of their Wii U GamePad running out of battery will be pleased to learn that Nintendo are soon to deliver a solution.

Nintendo brought the enhanced battery upgrade to Japan back in July, although offered no word as to whether they would release it across other markets. That looks soon set to change, if European retailer listings are to be believed – each backed up by official box artwork localised to each region.

What remains confusing is to precisely when it will hit retail. French retailer Micromania has slapped the date as being later this week on September 27th, whereas Amazon Germany say October 4th.

Regardless, it seems we’ll be hearing for certain fairly soon!
