Rapturous excitement surrounding Super Smash Bros. for Wii U’s arrival led to console sales celebrating their “biggest single week” since launch, Nintendo of America have shared.
Throughout November, Wii U hardware and software sales increased by more than 10 and 90 percent respectively compared to last year, largely spurred by the mascot brawler which has now sold nearly 710,000 combined units across physical and digital purchases.
In perspective, Nintendo sold 425,000 Wii U consoles across the United States when it launched way back in November 2012, so this will be a welcome boost to the installed base.
