PQube and Inti Creates have revealed that the cult classic rail shooter Gal*Gun Double Peace is coming to Nintendo Switch early next year.
Originally released for PlayStation 4, PlayStation Vita and PC in 2016, you will once again take on hordes of girls vying for your affection in this “notoriously lewd and outrageously cute rail-shooter.”
After Houdai is shot by a cupid angel called Ekoro, the otherwise uninteresting student becomes immensely popular and every girl at his academy can’t resist him. Every love letter, shout of adulation or unwanted kiss will drain his energy. If Houdai doesn’t find his true love by the end of the day, he will become cursed and doomed to be alone forever.
With bullets replaced with pheromone shots and enemies with “giddy love-obsessed school girls,” you must repel them while looking to upgrade your power-ups while searching for your true love to break the curse.
The Nintendo Switch port comes with “most” of the downloadable content, with the publisher outlining the game’s features as below:
- Story Mode: Can you fend off all the girls advances and successfully confess your feelings to the girl of your dreams?
- Score Attack: Achieve the highest scores on each level!
- Doki Doki Mode: Break out the big guns and turn the girls’ happiness up to 11! Aim for the coveted ‘Double Peace’ result!
- Closet: Change the girls outfits as you desire, with lots of different options available, including 450 different underwear designs (yes, really)
- Collection: Take a look at your achievements, image gallery and information on all the lovely ladies at the Academy!
Gal*Gun: Double Peace will release at retail and digitally on the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Switch worldwide on 17th March 2022.
