Nintendo 3DS owners will soon be able to enjoy new entertainment and information content from ‘Nintendo Zone’, it has been announced today.

Set to start on February 6th, the service will offer playable demos of selected Nintendo 3DS games as well as a dedicated Pokémon section that will feature full-length episodes of the Pokémon TV series. This will also encompass information and videos about the latest Pokémon games, Pokémon Trading Card Game and Pokémon news.

Alongside this, it will also provide trivia games featuring the latest Nintendo 3DS software, exclusive Best Buy coupons for discounts on Nintendo 3DS titles, and a showcase of Nintendo 3DS games that includes videos, screen shots and one-click links to game websites.

What remains unclear, is whether you’ll be able to access such content from your own home, with Nintendo of America only stating that users must pass Nintendo Zone locations within the United States and Canada.

These include 29,000 locations at restaurants, coffee shops, hotels, airports and malls, and you can find which your’re nearest to by visiting http://www.nintendo.com/3ds/nintendozone.

“Nintendo 3DS continues to deliver fun and engaging new experiences, especially for users who connect their systems to the Internet”, explains Zach Fountain, Nintendo of America’s director of Strategic Partnerships.

“Nintendo 3DS is our most connected system ever, and Nintendo Zone offers a wealth of exclusive content to users who take their systems with them when they are away from home”.
