Nintendo UK’s James Honeywell wins Unsung Hero at MCV Awards 2015

Nintendo UK’s head of consumer marketing James Honeywell was crowned Unsung Hero at last week’s MCV Awards 2015.

Having been with the company for more than 20 years, James has worked across nearly all of Nintendo’s hardware launches – most notably Nintendo DS and Nintendo 3DS, working across numerous Pokémon titles and celebrity campaigns.

The video shown before he was presented with the award is shared below, seeing Nintendo UK’s marketing and PR director Shelly Pearce, sales director Andy Yates, and marketing manager Natasha Chatur paying a heartfelt tribute to their colleague.

“I would like to think that you are more of a hero than an unsung hero, and certainly a huge asset to Nintendo UK and also to me,” Pearce says in closing. “My real right hand man who gets stuff done, I don’t know how we’d get through the week without you. So, well done and well deserved. Keep it up!”

Congratulations, James!
