Alongside the Nintendo 3DS Photography Competition that is currently underway, Nintendo UK have announced plans for a series of events and an interactive gallery exhibition.

Taking place between the 1st-18th June are a series of photography field trips hosted by high profile names, including nature enthusiast Bill Oddie and members of The Saturdays.

Each field trip will be inspired by people, places, animals, augmented reality and objects, members of the public invited to take part in memorable and inspiring experiences on what promises to be a unique day out. You’ll learn how to take 3D photographs with the Nintendo 3DS, seeking to take fun yet eye-catching images with advice provided by a member of the Royal Photographic Society.

These trips are free and open to the public, and will be filled on first-come, first served basis, by signing up to [email protected].

Confirmed field trips include:
1st June: Dress up with The Saturdays (secret location)
13th June: Walk with Dinosaurs with Rick Edwards (Bristol Zoo)
14th June: Street Art Walk with Pure Evil (East London)
15th June: A Trip to the Zoo with Bill Oddie (Battersea Park Zoo, London)

Work that is created within from such field trips will then be exhibited along with the best 3D photography work from the competition, housed within a special pop-up installation created by the acclaimed artist Graham Hudson. He will build a large-scale architectural sculpture created from scaffolding.

This will be opened at The Loading Bay Gallery, The Old Truman Brewery, Dray Walk off Brick Lane, E1 6QL between 6th-8th July.
