Not only wanting to settle with their Xenoblade Chronicles X Video Showcase, Nintendo Treehouse were enlisted to then play through a live gameplay demonstration.

That’s resulted in rewarding us with just over an hour’s worth of new gameplay footage – taking us on quests, breaking down how the combat system works, and exploring the vast landscapes that surround you. Their session closes with taking the Skell for a drive, showing how glorious the mechanised suits can be in besting trickier combat scenarios while later showing how heavily customisable they are in weaponry, equipment and colour.

Xenoblade Chronicles X will release exclusively for Wii U in Japan on April 29th, and in Europe and North America later this year.
