Nintendo have announced that they will cut the summer bonus awarded to employees by 20 percent, Yahoo reports.

Such a move was reported by Japanese business newspaper Nikkei, and is the result of weak business performance over the past year.

Nintendo previously reported its first ever annual operating loss of 37.3 billion yen ($469.65 million) in April, due to poor Wii sales and less than anticipated demand for the Nintendo 3DS.
