It’s no secret that Nintendo have struggled to efficiently restock amiibo, after sales of the figures exceeded their expectations and production run.

Europe and North America saw the bulk of stock, and while sales have been slower in Japan they’re similarly seeing stock shortages at retail. Siliconera report that Nintendo have issued a statement addressing the situation, apologising for the inconvenience and taking the opportunity to confirm that Villager, Little Mac and Captain Falcon amiibo will be restocked in Japan by mid-May.

They attribute the delay to the time required from the start of a new production run until they can be shipped out to retailers, sharing that they are looking to respond to consumers and retailers to actively respond to resupplying more popular amiibo.
