Nintendo of America have announced that they have teamed up with JetBlue to offer air travellers some hands-on time with the latest Nintendo 3DS handheld system.

Those that visit JetBlue’s award-winning Terminal 5 in New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport between April 22 and May 30 will find an interactive Nintendo 3DS stand where they will be able to play games, enjoy 3D photos and videos, and participate in daily prize giveaways. Reflecting the two companies’ shared commitment to delighting consumers, Nintendo and JetBlue aim to deliver a new dimension of entertainment for travelers of all kinds.

You’ll be able to play games such as Pilotwings Resort, Steel Diver, Nintendogs + Cats, Super Street Fighter IV 3D Edition from Capcom, LEGO Star Wars III: The Clone Wars from LucasArts, Asphalt 3D from Ubisoft and Madden NFL Football from EA SPORTS. Additional sampling opportunities will be available at Gate 10 of the JetBlue terminal for passengers waiting to board.

“Experienced air travellers know the value of portable entertainment,” commented Charlie Scibetta, Nintendo of America’s Senior Director of Corporate Communications. “By teaming with JetBlue to bring Nintendo 3DS demo stations into JFK airport, we will give consumers an especially fun way to pass the time while they wait to board their flights.”

“JetBlue’s T5 at JFK has delivered a superior ground experience since day one, with great shops, restaurants and entertainment,” added JetBlue Director of Concessions Mitch Nadler. “We are always looking for exciting and innovative ways to entertain our customers. Through this partnership, we have succeeded again by giving our JFK customers a chance to experience Nintendo’s amazing 3D technology.”
