Nintendo has announced that it needs more time to develop its anticipated free Golf update for Nintendo Switch Sports, news that was shared in this week’s Nintendo Direct presentation.
This will add 21 holes from the Wii Sports series to the Nintendo Switch exclusive, competing against friends either in local play or online in the new Survival Golf mode.
“In the next free update, Golf will be added. Of course, you can play these locally. Additionally, up to eight players online can play at the same time on the same course in Survival Golf. Those with the most strokes will be out,” Nintendo’s Yoshiaki Koizumi explained.
“We previously announced the update would release this Fall, however, we’d like a bit more time for development so the update is now planned for this Holiday. Please wait just a little longer.”
Nintendo Switch Sports is now available at retail and digitally on the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Switch worldwide.
