Nintendo has confirmed that they will restart shipping Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch Lite consoles throughout Japan “this week and beyond.”

This news comes after the country was hit with stock shortages, resulting from coronavirus not only driving consumer demand for the portable home console but the impact that it has had on the supply chain.

“We plan to ship Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch Lite consoles in this week and beyond,” the company wrote on Twitter (thanks to BlackKite for the translation).

“Furthermore, the Animal Crossing: New Horizons Console Set is planned to ship around late April. It’s planned to be sold online through many e-commerce sites and stores. For more details, please check each store.”

Fans will be pleased to hear that Nintendo plans to continue to manufacture the Animal Crossing: New Horizons Console Set.

This is a special edition console that comes with pastel green and blue Joy-Con controllers that are white on the back, white wrist straps, and a white Nintendo Switch dock decorated with images of Tom Nook and Nooklings Timmy and Tommy.
