Nintendo has announced that more than 139.36 million Nintendo Switch consoles have now been sold worldwide.

In the nine months to 31 December 2023, 13.74 million consoles were sold, breaking down as 3.4 million Nintendo Switch, 8.17 Nintendo Switch – OLED Model and 2.18 million Nintendo Switch Lite consoles. It represents a 7.8 percent decline in sales year-on-year, but the company noted an increased demand for the Nintendo Switch – OLED Model.

“Unit sales for the entire Nintendo Switch family declined 7.8% year-on-year to 13.74 million units,” Nintendo president Shuntaro Furukawa admitted. “This breaks down to 3.40 million units of Nintendo Switch, 8.17 million units of Nintendo Switch – OLED Model, and 2.18 million units of Nintendo Switch Lite. Although unit sales decreased year-on-year, sales have been stable given the fact that the platform is in its seventh year, and the results were generally in line with our expectations.”
