It has been less than a fortnight since Nintendo Switch was revealed to the world, and Nintendo has been quietly watching the response to their latest home gaming system.

While sharing that the trailer has reached more than 23 million views worldwide across the company’s YouTube channels, Nintendo president Tatsumi Kimishima has added that the reaction has been “overwhelmingly positive” – a 95 percent positive reaction, in fact.

“We have received a fantastic response from all over the world to the Nintendo Switch reveal video presented above,” Kimishima shared with investors. “We are not able to share each qualitative comment and response from consumers today.

“However, one example is the number of views we have received on our YouTube accounts. The total number of views just on our official YouTube Channels has already reached 23 million views worldwide and still growing.

“The reaction from our YouTube viewers has been overwhelmingly positive. We are very confident that a lot of consumers around the world have become interested in Nintendo Switch.”

Nintendo will now look to capitalise on the reaction with Nintendo Switch Presentation 2017, which will stream worldwide on Friday 13th January.

Nintendo Switch will release worldwide in March 2017.

  1. The other 5% are the idiot shareholders who want Nintendo to only make mobile games.
