Webhallen Sverige has shared that Nintendo Switch pre-orders have, comparatively, outpaced PlayStation 4 in the lead up to launch.
The Swedish electronics specialist chain is now working hard with Nintendo to secure more stock, but warned that these units won’t become available until after launch and that customers will need to be quick to nab one.
“We are only in January, but 2017 promises to be Nintendo’s year,” the retailer shared on Facebook. “We can see that Nintendo Switch has more advanced bookings than the PlayStation 4 release!
“The first shipment to release in March is already fully booked, but we recommend that you stand in line for the coveted console, to secure your allocation from the supplies that come in the days and weeks after the release date.”
Facebook users have since moved to dismiss the claim, but the retailer responded to explain that they were simply sharing the facts before them.
Nintendo Switch will launch worldwide on Friday 3rd March, priced at £279.99 ($299.99).
