Nintendo has revealed that three new SEGA Genesis games have been made available to Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack subscribers.
Once you have downloaded the latest software update (version 2.0.1), you will be able to access these new games which have been added to the service:
- Alien Soldier: The legendary developers at Treasure invite all fans of the Genesis / Mega Drive to try this shooter! Test your skills against 25 challenging bosses. Just rememebr – you can learn new tactics from every defeat…
- Light Crusader: The veteran developers at Treasure poured their hearts into this action RPG. As the swordsman Sir David, venture into a deadly maze full of traps to discover the truth behind a kidnapping, and foil the evil wizard Ragno Roke.
- Super Fantasy Zone: The final entry in the Fantasy Zone shooter series for the Genesis / Mega Drive. Defeat enemies to collect coins, and power up Opa-Opa in the shop. Battle across eight new planets!
The SEGA Genesis – Nintendo Switch Online collection launched in late October and has since grown to also offer the following games: Altered Beast, Castlevania: Bloodlines, Contra: Hard Corps, Dr. Robotnik’s Mean Bean Machine, Dynamite Headdy, Ecco the Dolphin, Golden Axe, Gunstar Heroes, Musha, Phantasy Star IV, Ristar, Shining Force, Shinobi III, Sonic the Hedgehog 2, Streets of Rage 2, Strider, Sword of Vermilion, Thunder Force II and ToeJam & Earl.
Nintendo recently revealed that Nintendo Switch Online now has more than 32 million subscribers.
The pricing plans for Nintendo Switch Online are £3.49 ($3.99) per month, £6.99 ($7.99) for three months or £17.99 ($19.99) for 12 months. There is a 12 month Family Membership for £31.49 ($34.99) that allows a Nintendo Account holder to “invite up to seven others to join a family group” that will all have access to Nintendo Switch Online.
Whereas an individual membership to Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack is priced at £34.99 ($49.99) for 12 months, with a Family Membership priced at £59.99 ($79.99).
