Nintendo has revealed that three new SEGA Genesis games have been made available to Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack subscribers.
Once you have downloaded the latest software update (version 2.3.0), you will be able to access these new games which have been added to the service:
- Alisia Dragoon: Game Arts brings you a fantasy action game featuring Alisia, a girl who controls lightning. Wield auto-aiming lightning and the power of four summons to fight off attacks from all sides, and blaze a path to the Sky Temple!
- Beyond Oasis: A young man obtains a Gold Armlet that can summon four spirits and sets out on an exhilarating action-RPG adventure. Developed by Ancient, makers of Streets of Rage 2. Yuzo Koshiro’s soundtrack will pull you in!
- Earthworm Jim: When a superpowered spacesuit falls on an ordinary earthworm, he transforms into the head-whipping plasma-blasting hero, Earthworm Jim! Use Jim’s new-found powers to fight evil and save the Princess, uh… What’s-Her-Name? Groovy!
The SEGA Genesis – Nintendo Switch Online collection launched in late October and has since grown to also offer the following games: Alien Soldier, Altered Beast, Castlevania: Bloodlines, Comix Zone, Contra: Hard Corps, Dr. Robotnik’s Mean Bean Machine, Dynamite Headdy, Ecco the Dolphin, Golden Axe, Gunstar Heroes, Light Crusader, Mega Man: The Wily Wars, Musha, Phantasy Star IV, Ristar, Shining Force, Shining Force II, Shinobi III, Sonic the Hedgehog 2, Sonic the Hedgehog Spinball, Space Harrier II, Streets of Rage 2, Strider, Super Fantasy Zone, Sword of Vermilion, Target Earth, Thunder Force II, ToeJam & Earl and Zero Wing.
Nintendo recently revealed that Nintendo Switch Online now has more than 32 million subscribers.
The pricing plans for Nintendo Switch Online are £3.49 ($3.99) per month, £6.99 ($7.99) for three months or £17.99 ($19.99) for 12 months. There is a 12-month Family Membership for £31.49 ($34.99) that allows a Nintendo Account holder to “invite up to seven others to join a family group” that will all have access to Nintendo Switch Online.
Whereas an individual membership to Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack is priced at £34.99 ($49.99) for 12 months, with a Family Membership priced at £59.99 ($79.99).
