Nintendo Switch Online Launches In Late September

Nintendo has announced that the Nintendo Switch Online service will launch in the second half of September.

Those that sign up for the paid membership service will be able to play multiplayer games online on the portable home console, store their save data online thanks to cloud saves, use the Nintendo Switch Online app and have access to play the Nintendo Entertainment System – Nintendo Switch Online selection.

At launch, this will include 20 games with the promise that the library will “regularly” continue to grow in time. Those known to be added at the moment are Ice Climber, Soccer, Super Mario Bros., Super Mario Bros. 3, The Legend of Zelda, Tennis, Dr. Mario, Donkey Kong, Mario Bros. and Balloon Fight,

The pricing plans for Nintendo Switch Online are £3.49 ($3.99) per month, £6.99 ($7.99) for three months or £17.99 ($19.99) for 12 months.

There is a 12 month Family Membership for £31.49 ($34.99) that will allow a Nintendo Account holder to “invite up to seven others to join a family group” that will all have access to Nintendo Switch Online.
